Martin Simpson, aka 'The Fossil Man' is a British Palaeontologist and Geologist who lives on the Isle of Wight. An expert fossil hunter, Martin has been leading fossil hunting tours around the Isle of Wight and has been a leading British voice in the discovery of new species found on the island.
On a hot summers day in June, Simon led me around the coast to tell me more about the 65 million year history the island has as well as explaining how certain rock crystals are formed, how to find fossils and how the future of the Island and climate change will effect the discovery of new species.
